667... The neighbor of the beast

Esta espectacular banda "parodia", afirma haber sido fundada en los años 70's, en Nueva york. Pero, Wig wam en realidad fue fundada en Østfolden, en el año 2001, por unos veteranos noruegos. Está compuesta por el vocalista Åge Sten Nilsen (Glam), el guitarrista de Dream police, Trond Holter (Teeny), el baterista de Sha-boom, Øystein Andersen (Sporty) y el bajista Bernt Jansen (Flash), ex-miembro de Artch.

En el año 2004, publican su disco 667... The neighbour of the beast, que fue producido por Ole Evenrude. El disco incluye el cover, I turn to you, originalmente de Melanie C.

En el mismo año, la banda estuvo junto al guitarrista de KISS, Bruce Kulick, en una versión del tema I was made for loving you, que está incluído en el disco tributo KISS army Norway.

Hard to be a rock'n roller

En marzo del año 2005, la banda ganó la final de European song contest, con su espectacular canción In my dreams, que se incluyó en su disco Hard to be a rock'n roller, ganando un disco de oro, y logrando la posición nº1 en su país.

A pesar de la apariencia de los miembros, que a algunos les puede parecer chocante, la banda demuestra una calidad increíble, tanto de forma melódica como instrumentalmente...

Recomendado(s) totalmente, en especial por las canciones Hard to be a rock'n roller, Bless the night y la nombrada anteriormente In my dreams (dedicada a Jey).

Estos dos discos tienen una lista de canciones bastante similar, por lo que me di la libertad de mezclar las canciones de ambos. Pero dejé las listas, por si alguien quiere separarlos... Nunca se sabe...

Wig wam: 2006 - Wig wamania

En enero del 2006, Wig wam comenzó la grabación de su siguiente disco, titulado Wig wamania. Aparecieron en la banda sonora de la película noruega Lange flate ballær, y algunos de los personajes de la película, aparecieron en el vídeo de la espectacular canción Gonna get you someday.

Incluye dos bonus: After the nine o'clock news y Flying high.

El disco sigue perfectamente la línea del anterior. Por eso, también está totalmente recomendado. Mis preferidas del disco son After the nine o'clock news y Gonna get you someday.

El grupo, tiene una aceptación increíble en Japón, y lo demuestra con este excelente concierto grabado en Tokyo, que tuvo una versión en Dvd.

Wig wam: 2010 - Non stop rock'n'roll

Luego de mucho tiempo en silencio y con sus seguidores a la espera de su siguiente entrega (entre los que me incluyo), Wig wam publica Non stop rock'n'roll en este año (2010), firmando con el sello Frontiers.

Del disco, me sorprendieron Rocket through my heart y Non stop rock and roll. Es un buen disco.

Wig wam: 2012 - Wall street

Ya después de mucha expectación, se publica en el año 2012 el disco Wall street. El disco, es el que menos me gusta en su discografía, pero no por eso voy a dejar de recomendar la canción Wall street.
