Firehouse: 1990 - Firehouse

La historia de Firehouse empieza en 1984 cuando la banda de Bill Leverty, White Heat, necesitaba un baterista. Encontraron a Michael Foster, quedando impresionados con sus habilidades. Cuando la banda no estaba en giras, Leverty y Foster visitaban clubes de rock, una de esas veces, quedaron impresionados con la banda Maxx warrior. El cantante de la banda era C.J. Snare y el bajista, Perry Richardson. Decidieron unir ambas bandas. Luego de ésto la banda se pasó a llamar Firehouse.

El primer disco de la banda tuvo una excelente crítica. Tuvieron muchos reconocimientos: Ganaron el American music award como la mejor banda Hard rock/Heavy metal del año 1991, La mejor banda nueva en la revista Metal edge, también reconocimientos en la revista Young guitar, y en la revista Music life.

Sus éxitos fueron Love of a lifetime, Don't treat me bad y Shake & tumble. Disco completamente recomendado.

Aunque éste disco no tuvo el éxito del anterior, tuvo otros grandes éxitos, como Sleeping with you, When I look into your eyes y la espectacular Reach for the sky.

Firehouse: 1995 - 3

Mientras el éxito de la banda disminuía en América, observaron que no era así en los países asiáticos. La balada I live my life for you, fue un total éxito.

C.J. Snare observó que, a pesar del cambio drástico que tuvo la industria musical, Firehouse fue la única banda del género que tuvo tal éxito por el año 1995, sin haber sufrido muchos cambios en su sonido.

Luego de observar que su fama cayó en América, decidieron moverse por completo a Asia.

Sacando Category 5, estuvieron de gira durante el 1998 y el 1999, logrando un gran éxito con su álbum.

El 22 de abril del 1999, FireHouse graba un concierto en Osaka, Japón.

Firehouse: 2000 - O2

En el año 2000 la banda sufrió el retiro de su bajista Perry Richardson, siendo reemplazado por Bruce Waibel, quien había tocado con Gregg Allman Band por 10 años.

El álbum fue grabado con Waibel, y salieron de gira en el Metal Edge 2002 con Dokken, Ratt, Warrant y L.A. guns. Después de veinte semanas de gira, Waibel toma un camino aparte de la banda, para pasar con los suyos.

Firehouse: 2003 - Prime time

En 2003, Waibel muere de forma inesperada, a sus 39 años. Inicialmente fue reemplazado por el brasileño Dario Seixas, quién tocó en éste álbum aclamado por la crítica, pero se retira al poco tiempo después. Allen McKenzie, quien había tocado con el proyecto solista de Jani Lane, se quedó con el puesto.

El grupo, hasta el momento, no ha dado señales de querer abandonar la música.

Firehouse: 2011 - Full circle

Después de mucho tiempo, Firehouse vuelve al estudio. Pero no específicamente para presentar nuevo malterial, si no, para regrabar material anterior. Esta vez, estando con el bajista de Foxx, Allen McKenzie, reemplazando a Dario Seixas, quien había trabajado en su anterior entrega.

Sin duda, la elección de temas fue perfecta, ya que incluyó las mejores canciones del grupo. Y la regrabación, le dio un toque mucho más maduro al sonido del grupo, lo cual puede favorecer en algunos casos.
